Stupid bye week

I hate it when my team has a bye week.  The Vikings have a bye this weekend, which is good because our passing game needs to get in sync and this gives us some time to work on it… but it’s way too freaking early.  It’s such a huge competitive advantage to have your bye [...]

Week 3– the vikings actually get a win

Throw a celebration, Minnesota.  We beat the Lions.  Actually I still think we’re a good team– the running game is in great shape as is the defense.  We just need Favre and his receivers to get things figured out.  The bye week gives them some extra time to get ready for the Jets on Monday [...]

Week 2 goes splat

Another game, another miserable performance by the Vikings.  Actually, another miserable performance by our passing offense.  Defense was decent, running game was solid, but the passing game was pathetic.  Terrible pass blocking, bad decisions from Favre, and a complete lack of playmaking from the receiving corp.  Sad, sad, sad. Maybe Vincent Jackson will save us?

Crazy primaries

Anybody paying attention to the primary results from last night?  Well we aren’t really either, except for Deleware– it should be a very interesting general election in November.  Again though, it’s hard to pay any attention to politics these days without being insanely depressed.

Awesome fantasy football week

The Vikings may have lost their opener, but at least my fantasy team is off to a good start.  And primarily due to one person– Arian Foster.  Let’s hope he continues to perform at a high level!

Politics in general

I can’t be the only person that finds politics insanely depressing these days.  And no, not because our country is currently led by an Islamic Socialist Terrorist Communist Fascist Muslim Foreign President.  Actually, I’m depressed because we’re apparently a nation of easily manipulated fearful suckers, at best.  And actually, that’s all we’re going to say [...]

Vikings-Saints… lame start to the season

Well, at least we didn’t turn the ball over five times.  Still, would have liked to have a better offensive showing against the Saints.  No need to panic yet for Vikings fans though– that was a good team playing at home in an electric environment.  It does make the week two game against the Dolphins [...]

Good old Google

Anybody else find that Google home page really annoying today? Normally I enjoy their novelty logos, but this one was over the top and distracting. I can’t stand the Yahoo! homepage precisely because they have too much going on. Google is simple, loads quickly, and doesn’t bother me. They need to stick to what they [...]

The Great Mosque Debate

OK, be honest for a moment– who here honestly thinks that the “debate” over the proposed “mosque” near ground zero is completely ridiculous? For starters, it’s not even a freaking mosque.  It’s a community center.  It will feature a gym as well as other community-friendly features. And another thing– it’s not on ground zero.  It’s [...]
