Fact of the Day– April 27

The NFL draft happened this weekend.  Quarterback Matthew Stafford was the first player selected.  He signed a 6-year, $72 million contract with the Detroit Lions, with $41 million guaranteed.  This makes him the highest-paid player in the history of the Detroit Lions– and he hasn’t played a snap yet.  In contrast, 3-time Super Bowl champion QB Tom Brady is making $60 million over 6 years.

How does that makes sense??
