Interesting night last night– the GOP saw their candidates win the race for governor in Virginia and New Jersey, but saw the conservative candidate favored by Sarah Palin lose to Democrat Bill Owens. What does it all mean? Michael Steele says that the GOP has finally “regained its voice.“

Just what the discombobulated Republican party needs right now: the symbolic voice of the party telling a prominent, moderate, African-American politician (not to mention military hero) to get the hell out of the GOP.

Every once in a while, you come across a Republican politician who isn’t petrified of Rush. Larry Murphy, a Republican challenging Pennsylvania’s Arlen Specter in 2010, is one of them. Granted, Murphy is a relative unknown, but here’s hoping he can change that.
