Is anybody really surprised that Rush won’t be approved as a minority owner of the St. Louis Rams?

It has nothing to do with Rush’s conservative ideology.

It’s absurd to suggest, as Limbaugh has, that the league is run by “leftists” and “liberals.”

The NFL is run by one thing: Money.  The League offers a superior product and occupies a unique niche in the marketplace.  They’re making money hand over fist right now, and they’d be crazy to jeaprodize it.  Limbaugh would do that.  He spends 15 hours per week flirting with the line seperating ridiculous from downright offensive.

Why would the NFL want anything to do with him?

It’s not Rush’s conservatism that foiled his bid, it’s the way he talks about his conservatism.  That’s all there is to it.

Many Conservatives don’t seem to understand that the world has fundamentally changed in the last 200 years. It’s not heresy to suggest that some of the ideas of the founding fathers are outdated. You get nowhere trying to explain that capitalism can’t ran rampant, or that the expansion of our agribusiness neccesitates federal oversight to keep us healthy, so let’s put this in terms that Sean Hannity could understand:

National defense. The military.

Guess what, Hannity? The founders of this great nation were adamantly opposed to the concept of a standing army.

Every once in a while, you come across a Republican politician who isn’t petrified of Rush. Larry Murphy, a Republican challenging Pennsylvania’s Arlen Specter in 2010, is one of them. Granted, Murphy is a relative unknown, but here’s hoping he can change that.

The caller was dead on. Limbaugh, Hannity, Ann Coulter… these people have HURT the Republican party.

The prospect of the President of the USA showing respect to world leaders is clearly too much for Sean Hannity & company. Hannity, Limbaugh, and others have flipped out over this:
